Since completing a fine art degree in London Jo has worked as a painter using abstract/semi abstract subject matter, but after acquiring a kiln she began to explore the medium of clay. Her wall plaques are taken from her paintings or photographs of landscapes.

 

Each piece is slab built using stoneware clay. She uses a variety of underglazes, opaque and semi transparent glazes and lustres.

 

Each unique piece is then mounted on sand blasted glass.
