Stacey is inspired by happy memories and the humour she sees in everyday life. She starts with red earthenware clay which she throws on a wheel to obtain the shape. She then covers this with several layers of clay slip to give her a surface to draw on. She can then add the small sculptured items such as raised flowers before the first firing. The fired pot is coloured and fired twice more before it is finished
