Sue’s work is quirky, fun and decorative and aims to make people smile when they see the happy, laughing dogs!  Her aim is to capture the characters and antics of many dogs in designs and to suggest certain recognisable characteristics e.g big ears or a long furry coat. She stitches and embellishes different materials & fibres onto a background fabric creating a riot of colour, pattern and texture. she then ‘takes a line for a walk’ with a sewing machine needle drawing patterns and designs. Her dogs are finally added and sometimes three dimensionally to add movement!
